A Telegram Sticker Pack for Your Token: How It Works and How to Make One

Every GM sent with your sticker puts your logo in a chat you were never in. Here is how sticker sets work, what to put on them, what to keep off, and how to get a branded pack live.

A Telegram sticker pack for your token is a set of stickers in your brand that anyone can add in one tap from a link like t.me/addstickers/yourpack and then send in any chat. For a crypto project it is cheap, lasting marketing: every time a holder answers “GM” or “LFG” with your sticker, your logo and ticker show up in a chat you were never in. The work is in the design (a recognisable character, words that are fun but never promise anything) and in Telegram’s file rules.

This guide covers how Telegram sticker sets work, the three kinds of sticker and their limits, what makes a token’s pack get used rather than ignored, the words to keep off it, and how we make branded packs at loudscene: 12 to 16 animated stickers from your logo and colours, published to Telegram for you.

Why a token needs its own sticker pack#

Telegram is where most crypto communities talk, and a lot of that talk is reactions: a GM in the morning, a burst of LFG when a milestone lands, a “still here” on a slow day. Stickers are how people say those things.

  • It travels. A sticker sent in another group or a private chat carries your brand there, and anyone who taps it can add the whole pack.
  • It lasts. A post is gone from the feed in a day. A sticker pack stays in people’s sticker panel for months.
  • It is community, not ads. Holders use stickers because they are fun, which is exactly why they read as culture rather than promotion.
  • It costs little. One pack, made once, used thousands of times.

How Telegram sticker sets work#

A sticker set has a title, a short name and a list of stickers, each tied to one or more emoji. The short name is what goes in the share link, t.me/addstickers/ followed by the name. Typing one of a sticker’s emoji in a chat makes Telegram suggest the matching stickers from the packs a user has added, so the emoji you pick decide when your stickers come up.

Sets are made in two ways: by hand, through Telegram’s own @Stickers bot, or by a bot through the Bot API. A set made by a bot has a short name ending in _by_ and the bot’s username, and it belongs to a real Telegram user who has started that bot. There are three kinds of sticker:

KindFileGood for
StaticA PNG or WEBP image, 512 px on its longest sideSimple reactions, a logo, a meme face
AnimatedA TGS file: vector animation in Telegram's Lottie-based formatSmooth motion, if you have a motion designer who works in vectors
VideoA WEBM file in VP9: 512 px on its longest side, at most 3 seconds, at most 30 fps, at most 256 KB, no soundAnything you can render as a short clip: fire, glow, characters

The pack icon is a small square image (for video packs, a 100 by 100 WEBM of at most 32 KB); without one, Telegram uses the first sticker. The limits are strict, and the 256 KB budget is what makes video stickers hard by hand: three seconds of animation at 512 by 512 has to be squeezed until it fits without turning to mush. The full rules are in Telegram’s sticker guidelines.

What makes a token's sticker pack get used#

Most project packs end up as a logo in twelve colours, and nobody sends a logo. The packs people use share a few traits.

  • A character, not a logo. Give the mark eyes, a face, sunglasses. A character can react; a logo can only sit there.
  • The moments your chat already has. GM, LFG, WAGMI, thank you, welcome, AMA live, a burn, a lock, a countdown, “still here”. Each one is a message people send anyway.
  • Two lines at most. A small line on top and a few big words. At sticker size, anything longer is unreadable.
  • Your colours with contrast. Brand colours often fail on a dark chat background. Outline everything and push the text colour until it reads on both themes.
  • Motion that loops. Stickers repeat, so the last frame should flow into the first without a jump.
  • One emoji per sticker that fits. The fire emoji on the burn sticker, the sun on GM. Telegram suggests stickers by emoji, so this is how your pack gets found mid-conversation.

Words to keep off your stickers#

A sticker goes out in your project’s name in every chat that adds the pack, long after you have forgotten what it says. Meme slang is fine: “to the moon”, “WAGMI”, “up only” are jokes everyone reads as jokes. What should never be on a sticker:

  • Numbers of any kind: prices, targets, multipliers like 100x, dates. A sticker can’t show where a figure came from.
  • Promises and guarantees: “can’t lose”, “risk-free”, “will pump”.
  • Returns: profit, gains, yield, APY, passive income.
  • Pressure to buy: “buy now”, “ape in”, “last chance”.
  • Links, handles and contract addresses: they go stale, and a sticker can’t be edited in someone else’s chat history.

How to make a branded sticker pack with loudscene#

Our sticker packs grew out of the ones we made by hand for our own token, $LOUD. You make one in the app under Agent, Launch kit, in the Sticker pack card:

  1. 1

    Start from your brand

Name and ticker, with the brand kit’s logo and colours. A transparent, one-coloured logo gets eyes and sunglasses of its own; any other logo becomes a round “coin buddy” character carrying it. The palette is pushed until every word reads against the outline.

  2. 2

    Pick the stickers

12 to 16 of our 16 templates: logo reveal, GM sunrise, LFG burst, WAGMI handshake, to the moon, burn, locked, chart up, still here, ser in sunglasses, community army, thank you, welcome, AMA live, launch countdown and holders hold.

  3. 3

    Write the words

Two short lines per sticker. The AI suggests words in your brand’s voice, or you type your own, and every line is checked as you type against the rules above. Every sticker moves on screen as you edit, before anything is rendered or paid.

  4. 4

    Render

The pack renders as video stickers that fit Telegram’s limits, in a few minutes. Change a sticker later and only that one renders again.

  5. 5

    Publish to Telegram

A team member opens the bot link and presses Start, which makes them the set’s owner, as Telegram requires. The pack is published under @loudscenebot and you get its t.me/addstickers link. Publishing again updates the same set.

  6. 6

    Announce it

The Agent drafts a “We have stickers!” card with the stickers on it, for your team to approve like every post.

A bought pack can be used on a pack of yours for 12 months. The free Torch Agent week doesn’t include one: packs follow the plan. Plans and prices are on the credits and plans page.

Getting holders to use it#

  • Pin the link in your group next to your official links, and post it again whenever new people arrive in numbers.
  • Use it yourself first. Admins answering GMs with the pack is the best announcement there is.
  • Tie stickers to moments. Send the burn sticker under the burn report, the lock sticker under the lock post, the countdown before an AMA.
  • Keep it fresh. When a milestone or an event deserves its own sticker, update the pack; holders who added it get the new stickers in the same set.

Stickers are one piece of a launch. Our guides to marketing a token launch and to the first 30 days after launch cover the rest, and the crypto page shows what else we make for token teams.

Questions

Asked often.

How do I add a Telegram sticker pack?

Open the pack's link, t.me/addstickers/ followed by its short name, and press Add Stickers. You can also tap any sticker from the pack in a chat and add the whole set from there.

What size should Telegram stickers be?

512 pixels on the longest side. Static stickers are PNG or WEBP; video stickers are WEBM in VP9, at most 3 seconds, 30 frames per second and 256 KB, with no sound. Animated stickers use Telegram's TGS vector format.

Who owns a sticker pack made with loudscene?

A member of your team. Telegram requires every bot-made set to belong to a real user who has started the bot, so a team member presses Start on the bot's link and becomes the set's owner.

How much does a branded Telegram sticker pack cost on loudscene?

$29 for one pack of 12 to 16 animated stickers, paid through the crypto checkout, with 20% off in $LOUD. One pack a month is included in Agent Pro, Done-for-you and Crypto Pro.
